Our Mission

The Ayingo Foundation uses arts, media and technology to bring attention to youths and healthy lifestyles.

Today, almost 40% of girls age 14 to 17 report knowing some one their age who has been hit or beaten by a boyfriend. An estimated 50% of new sexually transmitted diseases occur in people under the age of 25.

Ayingo Foundation provides a wide range of services including:

  • Community Outreach and Street Outreach
  • Media to Prevention Program
  • Media and computer training
  • Peer education training
  • Information on healthy living
  • Opportunities to socialize
  • Document and audio visual center
  • Information dissemination
  • Printed documents and leaflets
  • Workshops and seminars
  • Brochure distribution
  • Referrals

The Foundation's most important objective is to educate youths through our Peer Education and Media to Prevention Program. In our workshops youths and young adults go though a Peer Education course where they learn about domestic violence, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, relationships, peer pressure and sexually transmitted diseases. The youths then choose the most effective media outlet, to educate their peers on making healthy lifestyle choices during- Lets Talk series- workshops in classrooms, on campus, in the community, and broadcasts on AFTV.

Ongoing funding is desperately needed for these projects to be sustainable and for other important initiatives Ayingo Foundation may wish to undertake. Contact us to make donations. Volunteers are needed- call to apply.
